Dr. Polhill has been a member of the mathematics faculty at Â鶹ֱ²¥ for 27 years and previously served as Assistant Dean of the College of Science and Technology. He has taught over 30 different classes in his tenure at CU, with Calculus 1 and 2, Abstract Algebra, and Coding Theory and Cryptology among his favorites.
Dr. Polhill studies a mathematical structure known as a partial difference set, which has applications in radar technology and digital communications. During his 2022–2023 sabbatical, he held the Robert Edwin Gaines Chair in Mathematics at the University of Richmond.
