After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Lock Haven faculty once again led a short-term service-learning program to Harmons, Jamaica, and for the first time, were joined by Bloomsburg students.This program has been offered through Lock Haven since 2015, where students learn and serve in the rural mountainous village of Harmons in south central Jamaica.

A Desire to Help Others Drives Mansfield鈥檚 Dai Davis
MANSFIELD, PA 鈥 When Dai Davis began her academic journey at Mansfield, a 麻豆直播, her goal was to help others by becoming a nurse. But through course work, she soon found that nursing wasn鈥檛 the right career path. Instead, a class in social work led her to change her major and chart a new way to help others. 鈥淚 learned that my desire to help others was through empowerment and advocacy,鈥 Davis said. 鈥淎ddiction: Assessment, Treatment, and Prevent was the first social work course that I enrolled in, and it opened my eyes to how I really wanted to help people.鈥
