Sankofa has genuinely changed my college experience. Before attending, I didn’t feel like there was a strong community for students of color at Bloomsburg, or that the university prioritized events that highlighted our culture. After attending Sankofa, I was able to present not once, but twice ... and most importantly, I found a community that made me feel seen, supported, and valued.

The Sankofa Conference provides a stress-free environment for student to network and learn how to expand their mind and associated personal goals. As students in higher education, we need to take advantage of the ample resources given to us. Since the structure involves collaborating with other universities, the Sankofa community is always rich in culture and facilitates healthy ways to challenge yourself. Since this conference occurs every year, there is more than one opportunity to expand your personal audiences.
